Why did I become a wedding photographer in Venice?

Why did I become a luxury wedding photographer in Venice? This is a nice question, a lot of friends did it to me. But before that I’d like to tell why I became a photographer. I followed in love for photography when I was a child, I saw the photos of the great authors and I thought how great they were. My favourites are Sebastiao Salgado, Peter Lindbergh, Annie Leibovitz and more others. Today is very easy to find their pictures, for example on pinterest, but when I was young you had to buy magazines, books or visit expositions. I don’t know if they never shoot for weddings but I alway look for my inspirations in their pictures. They are very different each other but all of they have a great vision and a majestic personality.

I arrived to wedding photography after a path started in photojournalism and portrait photography. When I was young (just a child) I liked take portraits of my family members. Later I feel the desire of photograph people in their real situations: at their home or at work. From that to tell stories the path is short.

Weddings are stories yet to tell. I started wedding photography because I found in them the stories of people. Well, I became a wedding photographer, I love to tell wedding stories and I work with myself to find the better photographic language. Great, but I’m not appeased, I need to find something other. I wanted to find new people with different traditions and different stories. I always loved Venice and I known there they were celebrated a lot of destination weddings, many foreign couples choose Venice.

Even luxury weddings in Venice are very frequent and some celebrities are opted for this choice; for example: George Clooney, Woody Allen, Lady Gaga and more others.

I love the elegance and beautiful things; in luxury wedding these things are the norm. In Venice I have the opportunity to photograph weddings of various traditions and religions: symbolics, civil, Catholic, Jews, Orthodox Greek and others. There I find the stories that I search. Venice is an awesome City for a luxury wedding photographer and my personal research is constantly improved thanks it.
